Physical Therapists Who
Live the Life They Treat
We're mountain people. Trail runners, cyclists, hikers. We understand what it means to love the outdoors and to need your body to perform — and we've built a practice around helping people like us stay out there.
"Life's Too Short for Pain"
Mountain Wellness PT is a concierge physical therapy and wellness practice built on a simple belief: every person deserves individualized care, adequate time, and a practitioner who sees them as a whole human — not a diagnosis code.
We integrate movement, nutrition, and life into treatment because that's where healing actually happens. Our three pillars — Movement, Coaching, and Community — reflect our commitment to care that goes far beyond the treatment table.
Do Right
Evidence-based care, honest communication, and recommendations that serve your goals — not our schedule.
Do Good
We're invested in our community — connecting clients to support networks and contributing to WNC's outdoor culture.
Be Relentless
We pursue the root cause, not just symptom relief. We don't give up on a case because it's complicated.
Be Active
We believe movement is medicine — and we design care that keeps you moving, not sitting on the sidelines.

Charlotte Walters, DPT
Charlotte founded Mountain Wellness PT with a clear vision: create a practice that treats the whole person, not just the painful part. Her path to physical therapy was shaped by her own athletic injury — and the determination it took to return to the trails she loves in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
She specializes in joint mechanics, therapeutic exercise, and the intersection of women's hormonal health and physical performance. When she's not treating patients, you'll find her trail running or cycling the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Amy Spivey, DPT
With over 16 years of clinical experience, Amy brings a depth of expertise that's rare in any practice. Her background spans orthopedics, manual therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation, visceral manipulation, and holistic nutrition — and she weaves them together seamlessly in every session.
Amy's philosophy is rooted in the belief that movement, nutrition, and nervous system regulation are inseparable. She holds a psychology degree from the University of Alabama and her DPT from UAB, and lives in Black Mountain with her family.
